REGULATIONS
We do not charge extra for services which we consider to be basic to quality dog care, such as exercising your dog, providing medications or feeding a special diet that your dog may require.
DoubleT Kennels has been here, as a boarding kennel for 39 years. We have survived nearby fires,
floods, earthquakes and Covid with all its variants. We are surrounded with good neighbors and loyal employees. We are the only kennel that has someone onthe premises 24 hours a day and we are the only licensed kennel in Ventura County.
When you arrive at our kennel, we ask that your dog be kept leashed for its own safety.
Veterinary proof of vaccines is required before we admit any dog to our kennels. We require the following vaccines for each dog: Rabies DHPP Bordetella We do not take dogs that are flea infested. They must be treated for fleas before they enter our kennel. We do not board aggressive dogs, excessive barkers, or any dogs who disrupt the generally quiet environment for our boarders, and our own dogs. We offer outside dog kennels/runs that range in size from 8' by 10' to our double runs, which are 16' by 16' in size.
Each kennel is completely covered by a roof and protected from the elements. Each kennel has a constant supply of fresh water, as well as an insulated dog house. Each kennel is divided by chain link fencing. This allows the dogs to see their surroundings, their neighbors, our staff in the kennel, and in the office. We have found that the dogs' involvement in their surroundings reduces the stress levels for our boarders. This type of enriched environment tends to reduce the noise level, creating a tranquil setting for each dog during their stay with us. We do not exercise dogs together unless they are boarded together by the same owner.
We provide a safe area for small dogs. Your dog's comfort and safety are our primary concern.
